iOS Software Engineer (Gaming)

Job Description

Our Gaming Native squad is responsible for designing and building our iOS and Android mobile applications. We're part of the Gaming Tribe who designs, develops, tests, maintains and delivers our four main gaming products - Vegas, Casino, Poker and Bingo. Over 20,000 people play our games every day and we process 44 million+ game transactions a week!

Our ambitions are to deliver an incredible, entertaining native gaming experience across all of our SB&G products. As an iOS Engineer in the native space you will be instrumental in taking us there, and in return we’ll give you the opportunity to work with the very latest tech, on some of the most popular mobile applications in the UK market.

About you…

As an iOS Engineer you’ll be:

  • Working with the latest technologies, to deliver high-quality code and with good unit test coverage.

  • Ensuring the squad can meet security, regulatory and compliance requirements.

  • Involved in the full delivery process from elaboration and test analysis to the submission to the App Store.

  • Writing well structured, stable and maintainable code

  • You’re a great teammate, who works collaboratively to achieve the shared squad goals. You are unafraid to challenge aspects outside your direct remit and passionately champion ‘the right thing’.

  • You share knowledge with others and are constantly learning and adapting your skillset to push yourself and your team further; both in the tech you use and the way you approach work.

Reporting to the Lead Software Engineer, you’ll collaborate closely with other iOS engineers, a Business Analyst, Product Owner, Software Engineer in Test, Test Engineer and a UX Designer to deliver high-quality native features to our customers.

We're looking for passionate iOS Engineers who can demonstrate the following:

      • Skills in Swift, with additional experience in Objective-C desirable

      • Experience with UIKit and SpriteKit

      • Experience using the Xcode IDE

      • Familiar with the latest iOS SDK

      • Familiar with using CocoaPods for dependency management

      • Familiar with GitFlow, and how to squash and rebase to maintain a clean commit history

      • A keen interest in the latest mobile development trends
