Position:Presales Security ConsultantJob Description:The Security Technology Specialist/Consultant provides pre-sales technical, professional services and technology support to the sales and vendor teams for the Security portfolio of products and services offered by Arrow (Palo Alto, Fortinet, F5, tenable, Forescout, RSA...) Supporting Arrow partners, SI’s, MSP’s and Resellers in both a technical and commercial capacity.This role will focus specifically on the security offerings and ecosystem vendors. The Security Technology Specialist is responsible for engaging with the relevant vendor teams, owning technical enablement and building joint propositions with the BDM team. The candidate will also have extensive knowledge and experience in security design and implementations, embedded security, GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) and cloud migration. Key Skills / Experience / Technology skillsMinimum of 5 years of hands-on experience within a pre-sales role aligned to a sales team within IT SecurityProfessional Security related accreditations such as CISP, CEH, etc.Have specific security vendor delivery experience and accreditationsHave associated vendor technology qualificationsSecurity domain knowledge and expertise – evidenced by blogs, articles or technical writing workClear, logical and persuasive communication skills with an ability to work closely with executives and employees at all levelsAbility to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of security industry and managed security servicesExcellent understanding of key security vendor technologies such as Palo Alto Networks, CheckPoint, Microsoft, etc as well as CASB and SIEM solutions in general.A highly entrepreneurial spirit that manifests itself in a “let’s make it happen” approach, coupled with initiative and adaptability.Excellent attention to detail and genuine passion for Information Security.MissionsGo-to technical specialist for sales team and downstream partners on the various security product portfolio. A thought leader with regard to the choice of platform, migration & benefits for a partner and their customers. Participation in RFPs for key customers.Work with team to develop propositions for ISV, OT and DevOps communitiesOnboarding and enablement of new vendors & downstream partnersPresenting to Arrow customers the products and services portfolio and the benefits of working with ArrowDesign, management & delivery of security product demonstrations and labs. Duties will include but are not restricted to:Establish technical relationships with partners and, on occasion, with end-user organisations as well as key stakeholders like CISO’s and CIO’sReview and assure appropriateness and technical integrity of solutionsMake pre-sales calls on prospective partners, participate in local and regional seminars, and act as a technical account specialist for existing customers.Be the technical focal point for partner engagements around demonstrations, potential security solutions & programme expertise supported by the relevant vendor team.Deliver solution presentations to partners, at vendor events and industry eventsAdvise clients transitioning to cloud-based and managed security servicesServe as subject matter expert for security platform capabilitiesEngage partners in development of comprehensive security services offeringsTrain, educate & incentivise partners alongside the BDM team.Work in tandem with the various business development and sales teams in fulfilling sales goals and responding to RFI/RFPs.Work proactively with the Arrow Cloud team to drive MSP engagement around cloud adoption in the Arrow security product and services portfolioProvide pre-sales technical support to the sales and vendor teams covering specific vendors to be determined in consultation with the Director of Technology and Services.Remain knowledgeable & fully certified with a strong understanding of current industry technology (specifically Security), trends, and the competition.Spend at least 2 days each week presenting in front of partners in small (round table) discussions as well as large (seminar) audiences.Hours of WorkThe company’s standard hours of work are 9.00am – 5.30 pm with one hour for lunch, however due to the nature of this role flexibility will be required in order to meet the needs of the role.
