Registered Manager\n Stoke on Trent\n Full Time \n £55-60k plus bonuses\n  \n We are looking for an experienced, passionate and dedicated Registered Manager to lead our established 4-bed children's residential home in Lightwood, Stoke-on-Trent. Our home is already registered with Ofsted and proud to hold a Good rating — a testament to the dedication of our existing team and the quality of care we provide.\n  \n As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the safety, wellbeing and development of the young people in our care. You will lead, inspire and develop a skilled staff team, whilst maintaining and building upon our strong Ofsted rating.\n  \n Key Responsibilities\n\nProvide strong, visible leadership to the staff team, fostering a culture of high standards, respect and continuous improvement \nEnsure full compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Ofsted quality standards framework \nDevelop, implement and review individual care plans, risk assessments and placement plans for each young person \nBuild and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, placing authorities and external professionals \nManage budgets, rotas, staffing levels and HR matters including supervision, appraisals and performance management \nSafeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all times, acting as designated safeguarding lead \nPrepare for and lead Ofsted inspections, maintaining accurate records and evidence of outcomes \nDrive quality assurance, undertaking regular audits and implementing learning from incidents and complaints Essential Requirements\n\nLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards, with commitment to complete) \nMinimum 2 years' experience in a senior role within children's residential care \nFull understanding of the Children Act 1989, Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and relevant legislation \nProven track record of achieving positive Ofsted outcomes \nEnhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) \nFull UK driving licence Desirable\n\nExperience managing a home for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) or trauma backgrounds \nTraining in therapeutic approaches such as PACE, Dyadic Developmental Practice or similar \nExperience of Ofsted inspections as the Registered Manager What we can offer\n\nCompetitive salary, dependent on experience and qualifications \nCompany pensions scheme  \nDedicated senior management support  \n28 days annual leave \nFunded CPD and training  \nEmployee Assistance Programme If you have the relevant experience and are based in the Stoke on Trent area and would like to learn more, then please contact SaferHandSolutions  and ask for Anna Ashley.
