Senior Electrical Design Engineer

This consultancy place strong emphasis on understanding client needs and delivering environments that enhance performance, comfort and efficiency.\n\nThe Role \nThe Senior Electrical Engineer plays a key role within the building services team, contributing to both its structure and overall performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering electrical design solutions, driving technical innovation, managing projects, mentoring junior team members, and supporting the development of the project team.\n\nKey Responsibilities: \n\nDeliver electrical building services design from concept through to completion\nManage and coordinate projects across multiple sectors\nProvide technical leadership and contribute to innovative design solutions\nSupport project planning, resource allocation, and financial management\nMentor and line manage graduate and apprentice engineers\nCollaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders\nProjects will span sectors including commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare, education, leisure, and historic buildings, across both public and private sector clients.\n\nWhat They're Looking For: \n\nDegree-level education in electrical engineering or building services engineering\nA minimum of five years' relevant experience within an electrical engineering consultancy environment\nProven experience managing building services projects from concept through to completion\nAbility to manage project resources, including engineering teams, time, and financial performance\nExperience in line management and mentoring of graduate and apprentice engineers\nProficiency in AutoCAD, Amtech, Dialux, and Relux software (Revit experience is advantageous but not essential)\nChartered Engineer status with the Engineering Council and membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIBSE or IET), or actively working toward achieving thisWhat's In It For You: \n\nCompetitive salary and benefits, aligned with experience\nFlexible and hybrid working environment\nEarly finish on Fridays as part of a 36.25-hour working week\nSupport for continued professional development and career advancement\nA strategic role within a growing regional office\nOpportunity to influence team development and project delivery\nThis opportunity is well suited to an ambitious and motivated engineer looking to take the next step in their career, with strong support available to further develop technical, managerial, and mentoring skills while contributing to the continued growth of the Leeds office.
